Domonkos László - Fazekas

Domonkos László is one of the last of the traditionally apprenticed, authentic Hungarian potters.
His work is traditional but innovative. His historical knowledge of traditional Hungarian styles of pottery, tools, and firing is incredible. An innovative craftsman and inventor of tools, he incorporates his inventiveness with traditional forms in a contemporary way with integrity. His pottery is based on the  traditional Orseg (Southwestern Hungary) forms as a starting point for his work. He is a potter's potter.

Watching him throw is like watching Gene Kelly dance.
